What is the Buyer’s Premium?
22.5% on top of the winning hammer price
Does it cost anything to bid?
No. You’ll only pay once you’ve won a lot in a sale. You’ll pay the hammer price plus our buyer’s premium of 22.5%
What am I agreeing to by registering to bid in a sale?
As soon as you register to bid in any of our sales, you’re agreeing to our Conditions of Sale. Read them in full
here.
How do I see what’s on offer for sale?
Just click into the sale you’d like to bid on and you’ll see thumbnails and an overview of each of the lots in the sale. Once you’re registered, you can bid from this page too!
If you’d like more detailed information on any of the lots, you can click on the thumbnail of the lot to see the full lot page.
Can I change my bid once I’ve placed it?
You can increase your bid any time before the lot closes. Just navigate back to the lot in question and you can use the drop-down to increase your bid.
If I’m bidding online, how do I know when I’ve been outbid?
You’ll receive an outbid notification to your email with a link to the lot so you can quickly navigate back and increase your bid.
We always recommend placing your maximum bid the first time around to help you secure priority on the best price for the lot because our system accepts bids in the order that they’re received.
Do you offer valuation services?
We’d be happy to help with cellar valuations and can provide a quote based on the size of your list. The fee will be waived on lists that are consigned for sale with us.
How do I contact someone who can help me bid or sell?
Please send an email to hello@aeosauctions.com, and one of our dedicated specialists will be in touch soonest.
How do you work out your bidding price?
Aiming to keep auction as simple and approachable as possible, we just list one price per lot, which will be the opening bid on the lot. We base our pricing on equivalent bottles in the market, factoring in condition, scarcity and provenance.
Why can’t I see a reserve price?
We don’t use reserve prices, we prefer to keep things simple – so the price you see is the price you can bid at!
